About Tulsa Children's Museum of Art and Science
Tulsa Children's Museum of Art (TCMA) was founded as a call to Greenwood Arts Project's plan to commemorate the upcoming Centennial of Tulsa's 1921 Race Massacre. The Tulsa Children’s Museum of Art's mission is to expand access to art and educate people of all ages throughout Oklahoma, the United States, and the world through visual arts, science, curriculum guides, workshops, and symposium. We recognize the importance of and encourage cross-curricular student engagement of art and science, place-based learning, and art as a resource forcognitive and emotional development.
The Museum was founded by Dr. Courtney Skipper (right). A transplant from New Orleans, civil rights advocate, and educator of 23 years, Dr. Skipper has taught scholars from prekindergarten to college.
