About Tulsa Children's Museum of Art

Tulsa Children's Museum of Art (TCMA) was founded as a call to Greenwood Arts Project's plan to commemorate the upcoming Centennial of Tulsa's 1921 Race Massacre. The Tulsa Children’s Museum of Art's mission is to educate people of all ages throughout Oklahoma, the United States, and the world through visual arts, curriculum guides, workshops, and symposium. We recognize the importance of and encourage cross-curricular student engagement, place-based learning, and art as cognitive and emotional development.
The Museum is founded by Dr. Courtney Skipper (right). A transplant from New Orleans, civil rights advocate, and educator of 23 years, Dr. Skipper has taught scholars from prekindergarten to college.
